DualDB FAQ

How does DualDB handle governance and access control?

DualDB is designed to apply access rules, traceability and policy enforcement across both semantic retrieval and structured execution.

A common failure in AI search systems is applying permissions too late, after the model already saw data it should not use. DualDB addresses this by treating governance as part of retrieval and query execution, not as an afterthought.

That means user profile, policy, metadata and structured constraints can influence what is retrieved and what actions are allowed. It becomes easier to explain why an answer was produced and why certain content was included or excluded.

For enterprise teams this matters because trustworthy AI is not only about relevance. It is also about proving that answers respected access boundaries, lineage, governance and operational policy at every step.
