General AI FAQ

What is the difference between AI agents and automation?

Automation executes predefined logic, while AI agents add interpretation and reasoning when workflows contain ambiguity.

Traditional automation is best when the path is known in advance. If inputs are stable and decisions are deterministic, classic workflow automation is usually safer and cheaper.

AI agents become useful when the process includes natural language, unstructured files, missing information or many possible next steps. In practice, the strongest enterprise approach is often hybrid.
